Internet access while at work is a given!  However, it’s important to always keep in mind that it is  intended to support you and your ability to do your job on a day-to-day basis.  Although anti-virus software has been installed on all computers/laptops, it is still your responsibility and to ensure that the integrity and operation of our network and information is protected.

Visiting any sites that would contravene our policies and/or are considered illegal is strictly prohibited. Company internet and/or company-owned devices may not be used for knowingly transmitting, retrieving, downloading or storing any communication that:

• Is obscene, sexually explicit or pornographic;

• Is defamatory or threatening; or

• Is engaged in for any purpose that is illegal or contrary to company policy or business interest.

We expect you to be reasonable and to use discretion when using the internet, email, chat or collaboration tools, electronic/social media and all business communication systems for both professional and personal use. 

If you knowingly misuse these systems, you may be subject to disciplinary action up-to-and-including termination. Please also refer to Our Respectful Workplace and Confidential policies for further information.
