Role Expectations & Performance

Throughout your employment with us, you can expect to have continuous conversations with your manager regarding your role expectations and performance

Continuous Feedback

OneLocal believes in supporting employees in their professional growth and development and achieves this through regular feedback and performance conversations. We use the #praises channel on Slack and encourage everyone to write a praise about a fellow teammate(s) so that it can be shared for everyone to see.

Annual Performance Program

We’re #OneTeam and although we all have our individual responsibilities and performance metrics to meet (and hopefully exceed), it’s equally important to contribute to our #OneTeam environment. This means demonstrating the behaviours we expect of our employees in alignment with our values.

To ensure you get regular feedback, annual reviews are conducted at the end of the year through Lattice. The annual review process will help you and OneLocal determine your potential for further advancement, development and added responsibility. This process should be viewed as an opportunity to discuss your strengths, areas of development and what is expected of you in your position. Thanks to ongoing conversation, 1:1 and continuous feedback, the annual review should not be a surprise.

Individual Personal & Professional Development

Should you or your manager identify an opportunity for education or training that will benefit you while ultimately benefiting the company, we may consider reimbursing all or part of fees and associated costs.

Please speak with your manager about the specific training or education you are interested in to discuss what’s needed and how OneLocal can best support you.

These requests are currently done on an ad-hoc basis.

How am I doing?

Things in life may not always go as we planned or expected, and that can be true of your performance at work too.

If, at any point in your employment with OneLocal, your manager believes you are not meeting performance expectations, they will set expectations and discuss the gaps with you.

Our goal is to help you determine how you will improve your performance, and support you by providing the resources you need to be successful in your role.

Employee Concerns

Having access to insider information and business operations, allows for you as a OneLocal employee, to be diligent to catch things that may compromise or even violate our culture, mission, or security. If you ever find yourself in the position of believing that the policies, applicable laws or regulations, or the mission have been or may be violated, report such activity immediately to the Executive of your department, the VP People & Operations, or the CEO. OneLocal treats all reports with the utmost importance. We have adopted policies to govern investigations and will take measures appropriate to each report to protect your confidentiality. We encourage all employees to raise their concerns promptly and to cooperate with all investigations, lawsuits, and legal proceedings. We also abide to protect all employees in the context that any form of retaliation is not tolerated.
