Social Committee

OneLocal has a very active Social Committee committed to organizing activities and events (both remote and in-person), with representatives from each department/team to ensure we get multiple perspectives on what events would be fun and inclusive for everyone!

Past (and fun) events put on by the Social Committee have included:

 

  • Quarterly Team Activities (ie; Blue Jays Game)

  • Holiday games such as halloween costume contests, white elephant games, and ugly holiday sweater competitions;

  • Team party games such as team trivia and relay races;

  • Wellness activities including a month-long Wellness Challenge

  • Fundraising events such as food and clothing drives, participating in Movember, and raising funds for those affected by the Australian bushfires.

Interested in Joining?

The Social Committee meets on a bi-weekly basis to discuss ideas around events, contests and more! It is completely voluntary to join.

What’s so good about being part of the committee?  You get to:

 

  • Help put on events and plan initiatives that everyone on the team can enjoy

  • Stretch those creative muscles and come up with fun and engaging events

  • Do good work in the community and help plan charity events and initiatives

  • Be part of helping others get to know one another outside of their own teams

  • Skill up! Planning events can help build organization skills, teamwork, and planning skills.

Lastly, you get to help strengthen workplace relationships and make OneLocal an inviting and fun place to be!
